What is LUIS*A on Campus?
LUIS*A am Campus is a campaign against sexual harassment and violence. It raises awareness, provides preventative work and supports those affected in acute situations.
Sexual harassment and sexualised violence do not only take place in nightlife. Acts of harassment take place in almost all areas of life - unfortunately also in the university environment. To protect people on the FH Salzburg campus, LUIS*A offers help at the so-called LUIS*A Spots. At these specially labelled first contact points, trained people provide support in emergency situations. With the implementation of the initiative, the FH Salzburg is part of the LUIS*A on Campus network and endeavours to create a harassment-free university environment.
The question ‘Is Luisa there?’ is the code if you feel sexually harassed or threatened and need help. This safety campaign was modelled on ‘Ask for Angela’ in the UK. In German-speaking countries, the project name ‘Luisa’ was chosen - the name means ‘fighter’.
LUIS*A Spots
The LUIS*A spots are located in such a way that any support required is not too far away. They are all labelled with the same sign (see picture).
There are 3 permanent LUIS*A spots at the FH Salzburg weit. All spots are listed below.

- 📍 Urstein Campus
The LUIS*A Spot is located on the 2nd floor in the office of the Didactics & Learning Technologies team / room 270
- 📍 Urstein Campus/Meierei
At Campus Urstein in the Meierei (yellow building ‘Meierei’) you will find a LUIS*A Spot on the 1st floor in the office of the International Office / room 1.09
- 📍 Kuchl Campus
You will find the LUIS*A Spot at the Kuchl Campus on the 1st floor in the library / room 1.08
Important note: The spots are intended as first points of contact and do not take on any counselling activities. If required, you can obtain information about internal and external counselling centres.
LUIS*A on Campus
All students, employees and persons on campus who are affected by sexual harassment.
All LUIS*A spots are uniformly marked with a sign.
Ask for LUIS*A at all LUIS*A spots set up on campus.

Trained staff who will look after you in an acute situation, offer you a safe space, listen to you impartially and offer suitable support options. You will never be left alone - we are also happy to inform friends or family members. You will also be referred to suitable advice centers.
LUIS*A-Network
Cooperation partners and supporters
The campaign as such is not only implemented with the help of a LUIS*A team, but also benefits from various cooperation partners from the outset who accompany the initiative and support its implementation. Other universities and colleges are also planning to implement LUIS*A on campus, so that a network of LUIS*A universities is in the making.
The LUIS*A project on campus is carried out by the Gender & Diversity Office at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with the Salzburg Violence Protection Center and supported by the Salzburg Police.

The Gewaltschutzzentrum Salzburg offers victims of violence and stalking professional support and counselling to end the violence. Counselling is free of charge and confidential.
