Learning Outcomes:

Alumni define the terms perception and cognition and explain their meaning for people of all ages. They define the term consciousness. They describe types of sensory perception as the basis for cognitive processing. They contrast and explain self-perception and perception by others as an important competency for professional practice. Alumni understand physiological and pathological relationships in the areas of personal hygiene, nutrition, elimination, sleep, movement, perception and safety. Alumni elicit, interpret, and document vital signs; in the event of deviations from the norm, they forward them. Alumni demonstrate basic dressing application techniques. They are proficient in the use of materials for wound care. Alumni master the handling of medications, know the different forms of application, prepare and administer medications correctly, and perform patient*internal observation after administration. The alumni know the basics of nursing documentation. They document the nursing care provided in the implementation record and observations or deviations in the nursing report in a process-oriented manner.

Learning Outcomes:

The alumni define management tasks of nursing, documentation and data collection, liability issues, evaluation of results of interdisciplinary care pathways. They apply the knowledge and the course of action in case situations, plan interdisciplinary and interprofessional cooperation and develop a solution concept for affected persons as well as relatives. They argue the use of nursing-specific forms of organization and work in the various nursing settings and care areas. Alumni understand the complex interconnectedness of inter-institutional and inter-professional planning, control, documentation, automation and evaluation of processes and have detailed knowledge of the structure, content and design of diagnostic and treatment processes. As professionals, alumni are able to help shape and optimize care processes. They assume the function of a case and care manager. They assume an innovative key function in the implementation and further development of care processes in the interdisciplinary and multiprofessional professional field of health care. The alumni are familiar with the range of activities of ward and area managers. They guide trainees/alumni, nursing assistants and members of social care professions to take over nursing activities or to support basic care and exercise supervision or accompanying control over the implementation of the activities. They assess the delegability of individual nursing interventions and medical orders to authorized persons. They instruct and guide them in the performance of delegated activities. In cooperation with the person being cared for and the lay caregiver, they develop a quality assurance system that enables the timely recognition of circumstances that no longer permit nursing care by lay caregivers.
