The admission process consists of the following parts:
Online application on the website of the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences and upload of the application documents.

Prerequisites for admission
- Relevant university degree (bachelor's or diploma degree) from a domestic or foreign institution of higher education or completion of an equivalent course of study at a post-secondary educational institution or
- Non-subject-related degree with proof of 20 ECTS credits in MINT subjects (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology) and 25 ECTS credits in the field of software development or equivalent project or work experience.
We strongly recommend that non-EU/EEA citizens and/or applicants with international pre education submit their online application and documents, translated and legalised if applicable for your country, as soon as possible, but at latest by 31 March so you can start the visa/residence permit process in time. This process may take up to 6 months.
Deposit on the tuition fee for interested students with previous education from a third-country
The FH Salzburg collects a deposit on the tuition fee from interested students with previous education from a third-country (all states except EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland). Prospective students who take up studies at the FH Salzburg will have the deposit credited to the tuition fee (tuition fee and student union fee/ÖH fee) for the first semester, otherwise the deposit will be refunded. All further regulations can be found in the Guideline for the deposit on the tuition fee.
