Designing communication effectively

Anyone who chooses to focus on communication design is choosing a socially relevant and sought-after career. A meaningful activity is combined with a fulfilling course of study full of the joy of experimentation, curiosity and self-knowledge. Particular emphasis is placed on the targeted development of creative, artistic-design, conceptual and methodological skills. Graduates are enabled to work in various areas of communication design (advertising, design, media, etc.) as responsible employees or independent, freelance designers.

Teachers

In the Communication Design department, students can look forward to qualified instruction from internationally renowned experts in various design disciplines. Current lecturers include well-known personalities such as Prof. Charlotte Rohde, Gosia Warrink, Dr. Ferdinand Ulrich, Dr. Cornelia Lund, Birgit Palma, Marc Damm, 44 Flavours, Martin Gnadt and many others.

We are convinced that the ability to communicate efficiently with large target groups comes with great social responsibility. That is why we place high demands on our students to reflect on the market economy and society. We promote personalities who are able to consciously think about future scenarios. Communication designers face the challenging task of selecting the most relevant information from the stream of complex information and making the resulting messages tangible for society.

Our communication design course is one of the most modern of its kind and aims to promote long-term professional orientation. That is why we take a technologically progressive approach and actively drive the change in the professional profile.
