Studying MultiMediaArt in Salzburg
Dealing with the development and design processes in consideration of social and economical requirements are training priorities for MultiMediaArt:
- Consideration of impulses
- Development of the creative-artistic person (perceiving, understanding and thinking)
- Interdisciplinary, interactive use of different media (computer animation, audio, film, communication design)
- Knowledge and application of analogue and digital state-of-the-art technology
The aim is to convey the theoretical and design fundamentals and specialisations for the complex scope of duties within current media practice.
Curriculum Structure
The aim of the 6-semester MultiMediaArt bachelor programme is to convey project-oriented, creative-artistic as well as communicative, technical and organisational knowledge and skills.
Major subjects: Communication design, film, audio or computer animation as a compulsory elective in the 3rd and 4th semester.
Minor subjects: Game design, motion design, creating visual drama, concept & production, media scenography in the 3rd and 4th semester.
Work experience in the 5th semester; multimedial project in the 6th semester.
Time required for the MultiMediaArt course of study
Studying MultiMediaArt means engaging oneself fully in the course of study. Lectures, seminars, tutorials and guest lectures are part of the curriculum. In addition, numerous hands-on projects have to be completed.
