A total of 78 students from abroad will spend the 2024 summer semester at FH Salzburg. The students were welcomed by the International Office during the Welcome Days.
Extensive supporting programme
As part of the Welcome Days, the 78 incoming students - including 3 Ernst Mach scholarship holders and additionally 3 participants in the Consecutive Master's Degree Programme and 8 participants in the Double Degree Programme - were welcomed by the International Office.
Once again, the international students received important information on organisational and academic procedures. The International Office also provided information about Tandem Learning, a popular programme for informal language and cultural exchange. In addition to the Buddy Programme, Tandem Learning is an important part of the Internationalisation@Home project. The aim here is to network exchange students with regular students. The aim is to enable those students who are unable to undertake academic mobility to take part in an international exchange.
Getting to know the surroundings
In addition to various information events on helpful topics such as the library, IT, eLearning and various offers for students, the social aspect was not neglected. During a city tour of Salzburg, the incoming students were able to gain an initial overview of their "new home" and get to know each other better.
The incoming students have dared to step out of their "comfort zone" - they now have an exciting and varied semester abroad ahead of them. Over the next few months, they will gain personal and academic experience and through this enrichment they will also lay the foundations for a global labour market. Have fun! Great to have you here.
