Under optimal conditions - sunshine and early summer temperatures of 22 degrees - the FH Teamathlon celebrated its premiere on Friday, 26 May 2023, in the idyllic ambience of the Waldbad Anif. This newly created sporting event focuses on team spirit and the fun factor. Teams of three compete in a relay event in the three disciplines of stand-up paddling, cycling and running.
Just after 3 p.m. the 23 registered teams, a colourful mix of students, interested parties, graduates, teachers and employees of the FH Salzburg, started.
The respective starters of the teams had to cover 600 metres on the board before the imaginary baton was handed over to the cyclists. The route for the cyclists led from the Waldbad to the jetty in Kaltenhausen and across the FH campus back to the start-finish area of the Waldbad, where the final runners were already waiting impatiently for their team colleagues. The almost 6-kilometre-long running course led over two laps, literally through the UAS to the inner courtyard and back to the Waldbad, where the team colleagues were already excitedly awaiting the finish.
