The exhibition CIRCULAR MATERIALS draws attention to the great potential of natural resources and the strategies in biogenic research for the development of processes that are in harmony with nature. Materials that are currently only thermally utilised or even landfilled at great expense serve as the basis for new, recyclable materials and products. In addition to wood as a well-known regional resource, a wealth of raw and residual materials from agriculture and forestry such as straw, mallow, bark, cellulose, spent grains, extract substances such as tannin, lignin, oils, casein and starch through to mushrooms are available. It is not a question of asceticism and renunciation, but of enthusiasm and a departure into a future worth living. The exhibition aims to inspire and motivate people to switch to recyclable materials now and demonstrate an effective response to climate change.
