The academic area "Business Intelligence, Digitalization & Science" focuses on current entrepreneurial challenges arising from the digital transformation. Through the three pillars of scientific work, data analysis, and digitization, a critical examination of current technological trends is to be encouraged in addition to to a fundamental knowledge of science.

- Virtual reality / augmented reality in the tourism and leisure sector
- Open innovation, co-creation and crowdsourcing
- Impact of artificial intelligence on corporate communications
