As Austria’s first award of its kind, it celebrates technological solutions revolutionizing both brick-and-mortar and digital retail. Initiated by REGAL Magazine, under the leadership of Roland Pirker, and in collaboration with Robert Zniva, Christine Vallaster, and Daniel Zeisner, the award provides a platform for groundbreaking innovations.
Four Categories of Retail Innovation
The award recognizes achievements in four key areas:
- Checkout & Smartstore: Technologies enhancing the customer journey, such as optimized checkout processes or smart store solutions.
- Robotics & AI: Advances in robotics and artificial intelligence that boost efficiency and customer focus in retail.
- Sustainability & Impact: Projects that demonstrate environmentally friendly and socially responsible approaches.
- Design & Usability: Solutions that stand out for exceptional user-friendliness and design.
Participation and Criteria
Austrian companies are invited to submit projects that have reached at least the pilot phase and have been implemented in collaboration with retail partners. The goal is to showcase innovations delivering measurable value through increased efficiency, improved customer experiences, or sustainable approaches.
