On 5 June, the charity event "7 hours around the world" organised by students of the 4th semester "Innovation & Management in Tourism" took place. Led by Walter Junger and Eva Brucker, the event showcased the diversity of more than 15 nations within the class. The proceeds of € 1,400 were donated to the organisation "Fachstelle selbstbewusst".
The event had two goals: To teach students valuable event management skills and at the same time raise funds for a non-profit organisation. Thanks to the generous support of the ÖH, Eurotours and Citybeats, an impressive student event was put together.
The visitors were taken on a journey around the globe with music, culinary delicacies and an exhibition on the traditions and customs of different regions. Exciting keynotes, including one by Eva Brucker, offered valuable insights into cultural exchange and the importance of diversity in our interconnected world. A raffle with attractive prizes, such as overnight stays in a 4-star superior hotel in Saalbach, additionally ensured a good mood.
After the event, proceeds of € 1,400 were donated to the "Fachstelle selbstbewusst". The organisation, based in Salzburg, is involved in the field of sexual education and prevention of sexual abuse. It offers expertise and advice for parents, professionals and institutions as well as workshops at schools. The organisers would like to thank all sponsors, supporters and visitors who made this donation possible.
