dTS - Data-driven Tourism for Sustainability

The dTS project combines AI and agent-based modeling/simulation to contribute to resilient and sustainable regional development in Austria using the example of visitor guidance. With the help of artificial intelligence and agent-based simulations, the authentic movement and behavior patterns of the target groups are to be learned and understood. These insights will then be incorporated into a sustainable and soft mobility concept. This will also enable the modeling of "what-if" scenarios to support decision making by policy makers. The simulation will be hosted on an innovative federated data platform that not only provides data protection by design through its decentralized data hub approach, but also allows easy sharing of existing data sources and addition of new ones.
